Now in a revised walnut finish with an improved space and soundstaging. The AE109.2 is a successful upgrade to the previous model. In addition to drive unit revisions there is a very high density MDF used in the cabinetry that has allowed a thirty percent increase in internal volume while the whole speaker is only fifteen per cent larger.

This is the revised version of the very established and successful floorstanding entry model.
Like the previous version there is a sweet treble nature with solid and sensible bass extension. The mass loaded cabinet that makes this loudspeaker the heaviest in its class is still there. Fortunately the slim cabinet and convenient bass reflex slot at the top of the cabinet make it easy to move around the store for demonstration to potential clients.
What's new is the sense of space and timing that the .2 version offers. This is a really appealing loudspeaker without the brittleness and sometimes harsh nature of competing floorstanding brands at this price point.
