The compact Rega Io offers the exceptional performance we’ve come to expect from Rega, but at a very affordable price point. It built on the same amplifier stage as its award-winning larger sibling, the Rega Brio. It’s designed to run at 2 x 30 watts into 8 Ohms, making it an obvious choice for combining with a small, shelf- or standmount speaker. It comes with two line-level inputs and a built-in phono pre-amplifier for moving magnet cartridges. It even has a headphone output, for listening into the wee hours of the night without bothering the neighbors. Io is one of Jupiter's moons by the way, which is very appropriate for Rega nomenclature as it has an astronomical bent for sure ... it is also half the word Brio which its established big brother amplifier.
