Rotel RA1592 MkII, New Version of an Old Favourite
This new RA1592 MkII quite clearly shows its lineage in its aesthetic and its build. But there are a couple of things that have elevated the design to new levels.
They now use the Burr-Brown or otherwise now known as Texas Instruments DAC chips as well as changing the internals up a bit as well with elements filtering down from Rotels new flagship Michi range. But for those who have always loved the curved retro lines of the 15 series, nothing has changed.
It also keeps its versatility in connectivity. Basically it has a connection for anything you can think of...APTX Bluetooth, 3 optical ins, 3 coaxial ins, PC-USB, USB on the front panel specifically for iOS, MM phono stage, headphone amplifier and Balanced and Unbalanced Analogue inputs.
Its a convenient all-in-one box serious integrated amp.
AND importantly it's a juicy amp with ever so much control and precision. And it's just gotten better and better. Commanding on the speakers yet a sweetness and expression to the sound that marks it above the lesser amps in Rotels range.
