The D7.2 is an unusual synthesis of absolute trad cabinetry and artisanship in woodwork allied to one of the most sophisticated high frequency drive units we have seen. They are aesthetically understated in a way that doesn't translate to imagery but draws people to them in the flesh.

Even the shipping carton is unlike that of other brands. It is made out of a stiff unlabled very high quality cardboard that itself feels like it has ben made by hand to survive a journey through time. Honestly it feels the way they used to make boxes for Hi fi gear in the seventies..

Compatible with all good amplifiers, the floorstanding D7 deliver exceptional resolution and low-frequency power, communicating a vibrant realism to music of all genres.  All D-Line loudspeakers draw on our research into cabinet damping, advanced polymers, amplifier-loudspeaker interface, low-frequency airflow and sound behaviour. An inspiring and satisfying choice for audiophiles and discerning music-lovers.

The D7.2 is a very efficient design with a rating of 90dB and an 8 ohm load producing an easy to drive speakerwith a wide compatibility with amplifiers.

The unique LPZ tweeter is built around a stainless steel front plate that forms an acoustic chamber directly in front of the lightweight diaphragm. The phase correcting microfoil equalises sound wave path lengths whilst generating a symmetrical pressure environment so the tweeter operates in a balanced linear mode.

The D7 mid-bass drive unit has an advanced EP77 polymer cone, whilst the low frequency drive unit uses a bonded Kevlar composite. The latest fifth generation Linear Flow port venturi, tapered baffle element working in partnership with Spendor's proven dynamic damping, asymmetric bracing and rigid plinth mountings.

The net result is that the D7 is a very easy loudspeaker to place in boundaries.
