The Trinnov Altitude 16 is the ultimate solution for an advanced 16 up to 32 channel surround system.

The Altitude 16 is the most affordable offering - 16 channels of audio processing. Using an Intel i3 processor it is a powerful processor.

Their flagship series is the Altitude 32 and is available in four variations. The eight channel Altitude 32-88, 16 channel Altitude 32-816, 24 Channel Altitude 32-1624 and 32 channel Altitude 32-1632. All Altitude 32 series use an Intel i7 processor and every channel is processed in HD audio. They also offer AES/EBU input and outputs.

With the 3D measurement microphone each speakers location is accurately localized in three dimensions - distance, azimuth and elevation. This means the object based position algorithms within the latest Dolby Labs and DTS Inc soundtracks can be perfectly re mapped to suit the locations of your speakers. What this means is your speakers layout can be maximised and perfected to create 'phantom' speakers where previously there where none.

The Trinnov is also  the most advanced bass management tool on the market, select any speaker to support or redirect bass, send any bass from a speaker to the sub-woofer or combinations depending on the size and bass performance of your speakers. You can even bass manage the lower frequency range of smaller speakers by send more demanding bass content to the next closest larger speaker. Complete control is provided for crossover frequencies, slope, filter type and positioning.

Altitude 16 is as the name suggests, a 16 channel processor. Any combination is possible. Each channel is assignable, for example you may wish to actively biamp your front channels, using 4 channels. 12 left. Centre channel with extended low frequency sub incorporated. 2 channels. 10 left. Side and back surrounds, 4 channels. 6 left. 4 Atmos ceiling speakers. 2 channels left for twin subwoofers.

Or perhaps a 9.1.6 system. Front left centre and right, front wide channels, side and back surrounds = 9 channels. 6 Atmos in ceiling speakers leaves 1 for your sub. Then we install a separate DSP unit and combine 4 sub woofers into your system to provide an ultimate literally earth shaking sound. The Altitude32 was introduced at the end of 2014, followed by the Altitude16 in 2017. Both processors are powered by the same hardware platform that uniquely leverages the power of computer-based processing and software.

There is no secret: a solid hardware platform combined with continuous and increased R&D efforts is the key to long-term success. Genuine innovation and bold technological decisions are the foundation of the Altitude’s success. 

More importantly, our vision has always been to maximise our control over what we do. This requires that we make as much as we can in-house. We do not merely assemble pieces from third-parties into a chassis; we add value with our own pioneering technologies and software innovations. This is what truly sets Trinnov apart. 

This vision and ongoing innovation has allowed us to release major features as free software updates before any other manufacturer could provide the same feature (even at added cost). We have frequently done just that. The most recent example is the introduction of DTS:X Pro earlier this year, after an entire year of close collaboration with the engineering team at DTS. The Altitude is still the only platform to support DTS:X Pro as we write these lines, almost a year later. This major achievement, among others, has led to numerous awards for our platform by EISA, CEDIA and CEPro.

Trinnov initially built their reputation with a ground-breaking approach to audio calibration. The introduction of Optimizer technology at an AES convention in 2006 changed everything. The Optimizer is the only solution used across the entire production and playback chains in thousands of state-of-the-art studios and commercial cinemas.

Having been developed for audio professionals, the Optimizer is probably the most powerful and flexible solution available on the market. We are convinced that its flexibility is required to achieve the highest possible performance in any given environment.

A recent and noteworthy example can be found in how Trinnov helped Samsung and K-Array in the Samsung experience centres. Having no central speaker physically installed behind The Wall presented obvious challenges but represented a good example of how the flexibility of the Optimizer proved both relevant and effective.

Trinnov have engineering, support, and technical sales teams all have extensive experience in audio: engineering, studio backgrounds, careers in the AV industry. The employee profiles and backgrounds are rich and varied, with one common denominator being a passion for sound. 

Although Trinnov are still a fairly young company, they hold over 50 international patents and have authored many scientific publications and white papers. They are also one of the major contributors to the new CTA/CEDIA-CEB22 recommended practices.

Trinnov believe they can legitimately call themselves experts in the field of audio and this expertise is one of the core values they can bring customers during design, implementation, and calibration stages, or when providing subsequent technical support.
The Trinnov platform allows them to log in remotely to any Trinnov processor connected to the internet in just a few seconds to provide remote assistance on the spot. We have had direct experience of this when we had issues with a processor installation in a rural Victorian location and Trinnov France were able to login and correctly diagnose a hardware issue that was fixed the next day.
